Ed McCormick
Ed McCormick serves as Interim Executive Director of Ecosystem and Regional Innovation Officer at CyManII, where he leads strategic growth initiatives that advance the institute’s mission to secure America’s manufacturing ecosystem. He works closely with executive leadership, industry, government, and academic partners to expand CyManII’s national impact through technology commercialization, business development, and regional innovation.
In his role, Ed aligns the operational needs of manufacturers and critical infrastructure organizations to CyManII’s research portfolio; creating pathways that accelerate technology transfer and commercial adoption. He also leads strategic partnerships across the public and private sectors, developing collaborative initiatives that strengthen the nation’s cybersecurity manufacturing ecosystem.
Before joining CyManII, Ed built large-scale innovation, workforce, and organizational transformation initiatives across government and industry. A retired U.S. Air Force officer and certified test pilot engineer, he brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in technology, manufacturing, human capital, and strategic operations. Ed is passionate about building high-performing teams, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and creating sustainable innovation ecosystems that strengthen U.S. manufacturing competitiveness and national security.
