It’s was an incredible 2023 at CyManII! From opening our Cybersecurity for Manufacturing Hub (C4M) at Port San Antonio to being a part of the White House’s National Cybersecurity Strategy, CyManII recorded several milestones last year.
—CyManII opened its 15,000-square foot manufacturing demonstration facility, named the Cybersecurity for Manufacturing Hub (C4M), located in the heart of Port San Antonio.
—CyManII moved into a new University of Texas at San Antonio facility, San Pedro I, in the the downtown area. The facility houses the university’s National Security Collaboration Center and the new School of Data Science.
—The White House released its National Cybersecurity Strategy to protect investments in rebuilding America’s infrastructure, developing our clean energy sector, and re-shoring America’s technology and manufacturing base. The strategy included initiatives from CyManII.
—CyManII’s Education Workforce Development was awarded a $1-million grant to fund the first Cybersecurity Bootcamp for Manufacturing. The boot camp will focus on building cybersecurity skills and hygiene for all job roles in the manufacturing sector.
—CyManII released a new RFP in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies (AMMTO) and Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE).
—CyManII, along with managing member Foley and Lardner, LLC, co-authored two white papers focusing on smart manufacturing in the digital revolution.
—CyManII hosted its annual members meeting and governance board at the SouthTec 2023 event in Greenville, South Carolina. CyManII partnered with CESMII’s smart manufacturing experience.
—The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) selected CyManII to take initial steps to develop a Secure Manufacturing Tech Hub funded by a $500,000 Tech Hubs Strategy Development Grant.
—CyManII rolled out its Mobile Training Vehicle (MTV), which offers hands-on cybersecurity training across the city of San Antonio and surrounding areas. This includes team and individual training exercises, live fire and crisis simulations and other experiential learning opportunities.
—CyManII debuted its inaugural E-Sports League for high schools across San Antonio. For nine weeks, students received cybersecurity training in the MTV.
