John McGee
John McGee began his career at UT San Antonio in June 2003 as a Storekeeper with Facilities Services. Over the years, he held multiple Administrative Associate positions supporting a variety of colleges and departments, providing direct administrative support to Department Chairs, Directors, Executive Directors, Deans, Associate Vice Presidents, faculty, staff and students.
A significant portion of McGee’s UT San Antonio career was spent at the Institute of Texan Cultures’ Hemisfair Park campus, where he served as an Administrative Associate I/II supporting the Director of Research, Exhibits and Collections, as well as the institute’s staff.
In 2018, McGee joined the College of Architecture as Senior Administrative Associate for the Department of Construction Science and Management. In that role, he managed a wide range of responsibilities, including purchasing, travel, budget reconciliation, senior student career fairs and Advisory Council support.
John retired from UT San Antonio in February 2023 and later returned to the university, bringing with him more than two decades of institutional knowledge and administrative experience. He enjoys working with UT San Antonio and CyManII because of the collaborative, team-oriented environment and the opportunity to contribute to an organization where teamwork is a shared priority.
